Policies and Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Dovecote School

Dovecote School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, visitors and professionals working with our pupils to share this commitment.

Safeguarding arrangements are underpinned by robust policies and procedures which reflect current statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025).

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) has overall responsibility for safeguarding and child protection and is supported by trained deputy safeguarding leads. Our safeguarding and child protection policy is reviewed annually and is available below.

Complaints Data (Available on Request)

In accordance with our Complaints Policy (DC07 below), Dovecote School will make available, upon request, the number of formal complaints received during the previous academic year.
