💙 May is ARFID Awareness Month 💙

ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) is a serious eating disorder, often affecting children with sensory sensitivities or neurodevelopmental differences. It goes far beyond "picky eating" and can have a significant impact on ...health, wellbeing, and family life.

To support understanding, we’ve created an informative poster for parents and carers to help raise awareness and signpost support.

Let’s keep the conversation going, raise awareness, and support every child’s journey with understanding, compassion, and care. 💛

🎗️ NF1 Charity Day at Dovecote School 🎗️

Today, the Dovecote community proudly came together to support Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) — a condition that’s especially close to our hearts.

One of our incredible students, who lives with an NF1 diagnosis, leads this ...special day every year with passion, courage, and determination. Thanks to her amazing efforts and the generosity of our school community, she has raised over £70 this year! 💙

From green/blue-themed outfits and bake sales to informative activities and fundraising fun, today was a shining example of kindness, awareness, and unity.

We are so proud of her and of everyone who took part. Every pound raised helps fund vital research and support for those affected by NF1.

Thank you to everyone who donated, joined in, and helped make this such a meaningful day. 🌟

🌳 Exciting News! 🌳

Jason would like to introduce Redwood River School, a new specialist independent school designed to support young people with autism, anxiety, and associated needs. Their mission is to create a nurturing, therapeutic, and creative environment where students feel ...safe, supported, and inspired to learn at their own pace.

Set in the peaceful and picturesque Old Postern building on the Dartington Estate near Totnes in Devon, their school is surrounded by nature and rich educational heritage. The calming space and strong sense of community are integral to their approach, providing the perfect setting for growth and learning.

They’re aiming for their opening date in September 2025, but depending on the final stages of registration, this may move to January 2026.

If you think Redwood River School could be a good fit for your child, they’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to send Jason your child’s EHCP and any other relevant information, and this will allow them to begin understanding your child's profile.

For more details, or to discuss your child’s needs further, don’t hesitate to reach out:
