The festive season is nearly upon us, and we’re gearing up for our Christmas Fair! We’re thrilled to invite you to join us in making this a smashing success for our young ones.
Now, if you’re feeling generous (or just want to avoid ...storing that extra pack of mince pies!), here’s how you can help:
🎁 Tombola and Raffle Prizes – Got a bottle of something festive, or perhaps a sneaky chocolate stash? Prizes for both kids and adults can be sent in now, so please feel free to drop them off!
🧁 Cakes and Savouries – Calling all bakers! Please send in your finest creations on Friday, 22nd November. Remember, we’re a nut-free school, so keep those peanuts out of your pans!
How to Donate: Simply send donations in with your child or drop them off at reception. Pop everything in a carrier bag or cake box, labelled FAO Leah Roberts.
The DFSC has set its sights on a target of £1000! After our fabulous Summer Fair raised a whopping £819.24, we’re confident we can hit this new goal – but only with your help.
So dust off those aprons, wrap up those raffle prizes, and let’s make this a fair to remember! Every penny raised will directly benefit our children and young people.

Today, our school community came together to observe a moving two-minute silence for Remembrance Day at 11am. The school gate is beautifully adorned with the students' artwork honouring those who served, while nearby the village church is decorated with heartfelt crocheted ...poppies.
A special moment was when Mylo read aloud the powerful words of 'In Flanders Fields' by John McCrae, capturing the spirit of remembrance for us all. Lest we forget. 🌹

Today, we pause to honour and reflect upon the sacrifices made by our brave servicemen and women. As we wear our poppies with pride, let us remember their courage and commitment. May we continue to strive for peace and unity in their memory. Lest we forget.

The students have been taking part in a Halloween Pumpkin Shy this week. The aim of the game is to knock down the most pumpkins as a class. The Pumpkins have different emotions drawn on them and the students have been identifying which ones they are, we then discussed what ...things make us feel certain ways.
This is a great activity for the student’s gross motor skills and enables them to work collaboratively. The students have been keeping a tally of scores on a whiteboard which involves using their mathematical and fine motor skills too! The winning class will be announced on Friday! 😊
